Our MissionMed Troop Youth Division, a nonprofit organization, operates in the depressed community of Bedford - Stuyvesant, a section of Brooklyn where youth-related violence is prevalent. Our plan is to target youth who are most at risk of becoming victims or perpetrators of violence and offer them a unique educational experience as an alternative to the streets. Our goal is to not only reduce crimes involving youth, but also to encourage and help some of the participants become an Emergency Medical Technician or to pursue a career in medicine.

Our FounderAyeronde “Ron” Davis was born in NY. He became interested in the emergency care field after a near death experience with his son who has asthma. He then volunteered with a Brooklyn based volunteer ambulance service. He became a certified EMT-D in 1997, a BLS instructor in 2001, took CEVO II, Train the Trainer course in 2002 and is a NY State Certified ambulance driver instructor; he also became certified as a New York State C.I.C. in 2006. He is currently an employee of Midwood Ambulance Service since 2000. He has served both in the community and abroad. During the September 11th terror attacks he commanded well over thirty men and women volunteers responding to emergencies; as well as he coordinated 100 EMTs and students to serve in Haiti relief efforts after the 2010 hurricane. In 2013, he was awarded a proclamation, from then Borough President Marty Markowitz, declaring January 7th "Ayeronde Davis Day" in recognition of over 20 years of service to the community. He continues to work with and mentor the youth of the community daily.
